A year marked by new technologies and digitalization, as key tools to address the major challenges we face. Climate change is already having a direct impact on crops and water availability, and in this area, our research is focused on finding solutions to promote more sustainable farming practices, helping to optimize every drop of water to regenerate our soils or ensure proper product traceability.

At the same time, we are making great strides in food safety and global health (One Health), and we continue to explore safe and effective alternatives to reduce the use of antibiotics in animals without compromising their welfare.

New technologies are also helping us improve environmental sustainability in agri-food production. With a specific focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and optimizing the management of resources such as water, we are creating solutions to help producers adapt to climate change and improve the efficiency of their processes.

Our research and innovation work is framed within the Strategic Plan, which looks ahead to 2027. But we don’t forget the past: in 2025, we’ll be celebrating our 40th anniversary with commemorative events that will be a great opportunity to reflect on our origins, our journey, and to look to the future with optimism.
