ODYSSEY - Odour and greenhouse gas mitigation through smart systems for emissions control in wastewater treatment plants

LIFE ODYSSEY’s main objective is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and odour nuisances from wastewater treatment plants through innovative real-time monitoring systems, AI‑based predictive models, and bio‑based mitigation solutions. The project aims to move the sector toward climate neutrality and improve social acceptance of wastewater facilities by deploying advanced sensors, digital decision-support tools, and updated carbon accounting methodologies, demonstrating these technologies in representative plants to enable replication across Europe.
