The main objective of the National Reference Centre for Animal Welfare at Slaughter (CENARBAS) is to support national and regional AACCs in the correct implementation of national and EU animal welfare legislation. CENARBAS will be responsible for providing AACCs with up-to-date, reliable and consistent technical data, research results, new techniques and expertise necessary for the correct implementation of legislation in the agri-food chain.
