The project SAFECALF-ARRIVAL has de objective to identify the gastrointestinal dysfunctionalities of dairy beef calves arriving to the rearing facilities after marketing, transport, and commingling, and find strategies to mitigate and restore the gastrointestinal damage. The final goal will be to design new risk mitigating strategies to improve the health and welfare of young calves to reduce antibiotic use.
