Smart Fertigation assisted by digital twin FASE II

The FertiTwin II project proposes to advance in offering the irrigator a new easy, accurate and efficient system to manage smart fertigation. It is aligned with three of the transversal axes of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR): (i) ecological transition, (ii) digital transformation and (iii) social and territorial cohesion.
In this sense, it is intended to define a solid base for products and services involved in the intelligent monitoring and control of fertigation using data. This objective is of interest to the entire value chain of fruit and vegetable farms, thus ensuring their economic and environmental sustainability. It is also an objective of interest for equipment manufacturers or companies that can offer software or services in this area.
The technological objective of the project is to structure the flow of data involved in the monitoring and control of fertigation through the arc between data collection by sensors that do not use batteries, data processing to prepare irrigation and fertigation prescriptions and, finally, application of the prescriptions by intelligent control equipment. The project proposes several innovations in the different steps of this chain.
