Acronym: Unitat portàtill Aquapònica Demostrativa
a. Design, build and validate a demonstration aquaponics unit that is 100% autonomous in terms of its operation, with recycled material and/or adapted to the characteristics of each test site.
b. That has an estimated production capacity of 300 kg of vegetables and 60 kg of fish per year. We estimate 3 annual production batches combining products, taking into account that the per capita consumption of an annual staff is about 50Kg of vegetables and about 20 kg of seafood, so this system can support a family of 3 people.
c. To generate an activity with a good economic potential by selling the production.
d. Take it to communities of people at risk of social exclusion and people with special abilities and train them so that they can make high quality, fresh and Km 0 products, promoting work models that facilitate their social and labour integration.
e. Adapt it to unique horticultural nuclei with areas that are not fertile and lacking in water.
