Scaling up the use of Nutrient Management Tools towards the Farm to Fork Strategy governance through an on-farm experimentation scheme

Fertilisation is key in agriculture, but overuse leads to pollution. The EU aims to reduce nutrient losses by 50% and fertiliser consumption by 20% by 2030. Tools such as SATIVUM, based on Variable Rate Nutrient Application (VRNA) technology, adjust fertiliser use to the specific needs of each plot, reducing environmental impact. The LIFE FERTI-WISE project will promote the adoption of these practices through trials on agricultural plots, contributing to the objectives of the European Green Deal.
