Rapeseed Evaluation Network. Improving sustainability and new marketing options

The main objectives are to evaluate the adaptation of the new commercial rapeseed plant material to the Catalan producing areas and to bring to the farmers the genetic innovations that allow to improve the sustainability of the productions and to open new options of commercialization. Also, the following secondary goals are set:
1-Characterize the new 00 rapeseed hybrids that appear on the market from the cycle, the sensitivity to accidents, the morphology, the quality, etc.
2-Evaluate the vigor of birth and vegetative development in the early stages, as they may contribute to the escape in the face of attacks of grasshopper (Psylliodeschrysocephala).
3-Estimate the differences between varieties in the absorption of nitrogen in the early stages to improve the management of nitrogen fertilization.
4-Determine the interest of the cultivation of alt oleic (OH) varieties, with a higher content of oleic acid.
5-Explore the adaptation and behavior of rapeseed hybrids, with a higher proportion of erucic acid.
6-Transfer the results obtained to the production sector.
