In this project, a breeding program will be conducted to generate rice varieties to cope with two of the most preoccupying factors that affect the security of the crop: salinity, an abiotic stress aggravated by climate change, and blast disease, as an urgent measure to avoid the use of fungicides for a more sustainable crop.
