Implementation of innovative weeding systems to reduce the use of herbicides in extensive crops

The main objective is to implement grass control strategies that include precision mechanical weeding in order to significantly reduce the use of herbicides and improve the sustainability of winter cereal and maize production. The following are also proposed as secondary objectives:
1-Reduce the toxicological impact of the practices carried out for the control of weeds in the plots of winter cereals and corn
2-Improve the effectiveness of traditional mechanical weeding in the control of weeds, so that it is closer to what is obtained with the application of chemical herbicides
3-Increase the sustainability of cereal farms
4-Show on the plots of farmers weeding strategies based on the use of precision binders, if necessary complemented with the application of herbicide in strips
5-Transfer the results to the production sector.
