The objective of ECOS-COM is to take advantage of the new opportunities offered by the DNAmetabarcoding technique combined with traditional microscopic methods to determine the influence of benthic microalgae on the annual cycle of Ostreopsis in two areas with very different conditions: Mediterranean (Llavanares) and Canary Islands (El Hierro).
