MICROGEL – Efficacy and efficiency of various micro-spraying systems for active spring frost defence in fruit trees

The objective of this project is to generate information, under field conditions and in commercial measurement plots, on the performance of various frost control systems based on the application of water by micro-spraying. This information must be used to facilitate the choice of the most suitable system according to the circumstances of each producer and to improve the basis for the design of the installations in order to maximise their efficiency. Likewise, for installations that are already active, the information generated will allow optimising their management when frosts occur.
