Deciphering the role of the humoral response in the development of severe SARS-CoV-2 infection during natural infection and after immunization.

1) To analyze the humoral response elicited in severe COVID-19 individuals, compared with those generated by a mild SARS-CoV-2 infection.
2) To determine whether low levels of neutralizing or non-neutralizing antibodies might promote the differentiation of innate immune cells to proinflammatory cells directly or in combination with complement.
3) To evaluate whether these antibodies might drive a severe form of COVID-19 in an animal model of SARS-CoV-2infection.
4) To evaluate whether these type of antibodies might be elicited during immunization, enhancing the disease after infection.
