During the third edition of the Porks Awards held in Bogotá on July 13, Porkcolombia – Fondo Nacional de la Porcicultura, delivered 34 statuettes to farms that stood out for its results in terms of biosecurity, sustainable production and reproductive parameters, farms that every day strives to obtain better performance and be more efficients and competitives.
There were 81 nominations for the 3 modalities that, finally, were divided between 66 of the 177 farms in total that compete to be among the best in Colombia. Edition to edition, Porkcolombia - FNP has increased the participation of porciculturers and the number of breeding females, which in this edition were 84,000 breeding females in competition, increasing almost 10% compared to the previous year.
Among the winners of this edition of the Porks Awards, was Samaná's Porcícola. This farm, located in the Cauca Valley, won the highest recognition of the night, the Diamante Rosado statuette that positions it as the best farm in Colombia.
Porkcolombia - FNP is grateful to the companies, but especially to all the producers that participated in the Porks awards, prizes that nominees and the winners feels proud and constitute one of the main spurs for the widespread improvement of Industry, motivating producers to improve their parameters to be at the top of national pork sector.
