CREDA (Centre for Research in Agro-Food Economy and Development) is a foundation dedicated to research that has the support of two institutions: the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Institute for Agro-Food Research and Technology (IRTA).

The central objectives and research topics being carried out at CREDA include:

  • Studies of consumer preferences and behavior towards agricultural products.
  • Development and improvement of agricultural and livestock competitiveness.
  • Sustainability of food systems from a systemic perspective.
  • Sustainable and innovative use of natural resources.
  • Subsistence strategies and preferences of rural producers in the face of global change.
  • Improve understanding of the numerous and complex interactions between society and the territory.
