MELFRUIT - Genetic dissection of fruit quality, fruit morphology and reproductive barriers in melon

Our ultimate goal is to provide breeders with tools to achieve better production of high quality food. The results of this coordinated project may have an impact on the industry, as some of the expected results could be transferred to melon breeding programmes. Some of the objectives of each subproject will be addressed in close collaboration between the CRAG and IBMCP-CSIC and COMAV-UPV teams, taking advantage of the multidisciplinary nature of their members.
