Acronym: GreenBlueCircle
The main objective of GreenBlueCircle is providing the agrif-ood sector with novel and underexploited
sources of raw materials from recycled wastes and evaluating the environmental sustainability of using
residues from swine and fish production as substrates for mushroom production, and alternative,
bioeconomy-based crude protein sources from the mushroom industry in diets for swine production
and aquaculture fish by means of the quantification of their environmental benefits and impacts
relative to conventional diets, considering potential additional functions such as antimicrobial
properties.
