In-vehicle microclimatic conditions during livestock transport – using technology and weather data to improve animal welfare

CFD-VEHICLE develops and validates a comprehensive algorithm that describes the relationship between weather forecasting data (temperature, humidity, solar radiation), space allowance (using the allometric k-value), the type of ventilation of the vehicle and the effective temperature (temperature and humidity) within different compartments of a vehicle (considering the non-uniformity of the climate in the vehicle) transporting different types of weaned cattle at various times and in various geographic places from a transport route.
