Collaborative momitoring and climate adaptation: Living Lab for enhancing the resilience of agriculture in Catalonia

The objective of CONCAT Living Lab is to establish a multidisciplinary collaborative Living Lab focused on addressing climate change challenges in the Mediterranean and South Western European Regions (MSWER), with Catalonia as a central focus. An initiative of a prominent agricultural R&D institution, a robust network of agricultural cooperatives, and specialists in building large-scale agrifood collaboration ecosystems, CONCAT’s overarching goals include enhancing food security, promoting climate resilience, and ensuring consistent access to essential food products, including olives, apples, wheat and barley, poultry, and aquacultured fish. In addition to practical data-driven research, the Living Lab is committed to fostering collaboration among researchers, local farmers, food processors, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Together, they co-design, test, and refine strategies and develop policy recommendations to tackle climate change's impact on agriculture.
