The general objective of the project is to contribute to a more sustainable pig production by acting: (1) at farm level, by optimizing the phosphorus (P) of the diet and evaluating its suitability in pigs of different sexes without compromising animal welfare or carcass and end product quality (bone characteristics, weight, and composition) using CT; (2) at the societal level, assessing consumers' views on proposed strategies to improve sustainability and understanding their demands and knowledge of the sustainability of pig production; and (3) globally, considering all aspects previously assessed through a holistic and comprehensive analysis.
