Crop water management under different drought scenarios

The overall objective of this demonstration project is to collect the available information tested and validated by IRTA's Efficient Water Use in Agriculture Programme on crop water management in order to transfer this information to fruit growers in Catalonia by creating a manual and carrying out dissemination activities to help them make decisions on irrigation and crop management and to increase the efficiency of water use on their farms in the event of Alert, Exceptionality and Emergency scenarios contemplated in the Special Drought Plan of the Department of Climate Action, which will reduce the water available for agriculture by between 25 and 80% with respect to the normal volume.
