Exploring the application of biochar to improve manure management through biogas optimization, emission abatement and resource recovery

The main concept of the project is to tackle the environmental issues of the livestock sector from a green and circular economy approach aiming to transform the environmental threats into opportunities. It is intended to recover energy and nutrients and mitigate GHG and NH3 emissions generated in the livestock sector, and specifically in the management of manure, which are otherwise an environmental risk of great importance.
