Interactions between limiting resources, natural enemies and major pests to increase sustainability of pest management in fruit orchards

The project main objective is to improve the sustainability of apple and peach (including nectarines) production by developing groundbreaking tools that contribute to enhance the beneficial insect community while reducing pesticide use. The proposal is submitted within the modality of oriented research in the thematic area of Life Sciences> Agriculture>Agriculture and Forestry; thematic priority: Food, bioeconomy, natural resources and environment. The objectives of this thematic priority have been included in Strategic Action 6 (EA6) of the National Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023.
