The scientific activity of the research group has been structured in three main objectives, with which it has become a reference: a) coastal restoration with green engineering; b) predictive maintenance of port infrastructures and early warning systems; c) coastal adaptation routes under future climate scenarios. Advances have continued the development of the group's tools, which combine numerical models (incl. operational forecasting), hydraulic models (incl. the large flume) and field measurements (satellite and in situ, incl. the Pont du Pétrole). This work has involved the launching/coordination/participation in EU projects (H2020, Horizon Europe, ERC, ESFRI) and national projects linked to the ICTS iCIEM managed by the group. The impact of these activities has been achieved through publications, special issues in prestigious scientific journals, organization of sessions at top level international conferences and continuing education seminars.
