The overarching objectives of the project are to genetically characterize and differentiate invasive from non-invasive Campylobacter coli strains, examine the in vivo infection of Campylobacter in broiler chickens and to examine novel intervention strategies to mitigate Campylobacter infection in broilers. The final end is to reduce the risk of infection of consumers.
