The objective of this agreement is to regulate the collaboration between IRTA and the Diputació de Lleida in the research and experimentation project for the establishment of a demonstrative and experimental platform for the response of almond trees to irrigation on the Maials farm owned by the Corporation.
It includes two lines of work:
- Determination of the optimal water production function for almond tree cultivation in dry areas of the Catalan Mediterranean.
- Studies of almond tree water requirements and seasonal sensitivity of this crop to water deficit.
