La proliferaci\u00f3 de males herbes resistents als herbicides, l\u2019alta demanda h\u00eddrica i les emissions de gasos d\u2019efecte hivernacle s\u00f3n alguns dels principals desafiaments. Per abordar aquesta problem\u00e0tica, hem iniciat al Delta de l\u2019Ebre el projecte demostratiu <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irta.cat\/projecte\/estrategies-de-reg-per-optimitzar-el-consum-daigua-la-gestio-de-males-herbes-i-el-rendiment-de-larros-al-delta-de-lebre\/\">HERBESREG<\/a>, finan\u00e7at pel Departament d\u2019Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca i Alimentaci\u00f3, per testar noves estrat\u00e8gies de reg que permetin optimitzar la producci\u00f3 i reduir l\u2019impacte ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNecessitem alternatives viables per garantir el futur del cultiu de l\u2019arr\u00f2s, especialment en un context de canvi clim\u00e0tic i restriccions h\u00eddriques. Aquest projecte ens permetr\u00e0 entendre quin \u00e9s el millor equilibri entre efici\u00e8ncia en l\u2019\u00fas de l\u2019aigua, control de males herbes i rendiment del cultiu\u201d, explica N\u00e9stor P\u00e9rez-M\u00e9ndez, investigador del programa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irta.cat\/es\/programa-de-recerca\/cultius-extensius-sostenibles\/\">Cultius extensius sostenibles<\/a> de l\u2019IRTA i coordinador de l\u2019estudi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Experimentant amb nous models de reg<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Durant el 2025, a l\u2019Estaci\u00f3 Experimental de l\u2019IRTA a Amposta, compararem tres estrat\u00e8gies de maneig de l\u2019aigua:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reg convencional<\/strong>: inundaci\u00f3 cont\u00ednua durant tot el cicle del cultiu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sembra convencional amb un per\u00edode d\u2019assecament a meitat de cicle: <\/strong>inundaci\u00f3 inicial i un per\u00edode de sec de 12 dies durant la fase d\u2019afillolat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sembra en sec m\u00e9s un per\u00edode d\u2019assecament a meitat de cicle: <\/strong>sembra sense aigua, inundaci\u00f3 posterior i un per\u00edode d\u2019assecat de dotze dies durant la fase d\u2019afillolat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019estudi es dur\u00e0 a terme en parcel\u00b7les experimentals amb la varietat JSendra i analitzar\u00e0 el consum d\u2019aigua, l\u2019efic\u00e0cia en el control de males herbes i el rendiment del cultiu. Tamb\u00e9 monitoritzarem la densitat de planta, el creixement i la qualitat del gra, aix\u00ed com la biomassa de males herbes com <em>Echinochloa sp<\/em>., <em>Leptochloa sp<\/em>., <em>Cyperus sp.<\/em> i <em>Ammania sp.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un enfocament integral: biodiversitat, salinitat i adaptaci\u00f3 al canvi clim\u00e0tic<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A m\u00e9s del control de males herbes, HERBESREG valorar\u00e0 l\u2019impacte de les noves t\u00e8cniques sobre la biodiversitat, la salinitat del s\u00f2l i l\u2019adaptaci\u00f3 al canvi clim\u00e0tic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una de les principals motivacions per implementar la sembra en sec \u00e9s la lluita contra el <strong>caragol poma <\/strong>(<em>Pomacea maculata<\/em>), una plaga invasora que afecta el Delta de l\u2019Ebre des del 2010. La <strong>sembra en sec<\/strong> <strong>redueix el seu impacte en les primeres etapes del cultiu,<\/strong> quan la planta \u00e9s m\u00e9s vulnerable. \u201cA m\u00e9s d\u2019un menor \u00fas de l\u2019aigua, aquestes estrat\u00e8gies podrien ser una soluci\u00f3 en parcel\u00b7les amb sols poc salins per minimitzar l\u2019impacte del caragol poma sense dependre tant dels productes qu\u00edmics\u201d, destaca P\u00e9rez-M\u00e9ndez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualment, m\u00e9s del 60% de la superf\u00edcie arrossera mundial es cultiva sota inundaci\u00f3. No obstant aix\u00f2, l\u2019\u00fas d\u2019estrat\u00e8gies de reg alternatiu est\u00e0 en augment a causa de les <strong>restriccions h\u00eddriques i la necessitat de reduir pesticides<\/strong>. Aquest estudi pot obrir la porta a noves pr\u00e0ctiques que es puguin implementar no nom\u00e9s al Delta de l\u2019Ebre, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 en altres zones productores d\u2019arr\u00f2s del m\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019estudi s\u2019emmarca en la l\u00ednia de recerca de mitigaci\u00f3 del canvi clim\u00e0tic de l\u2019IRTA i t\u00e9 una durada de dos anys. La primera campanya de camp comen\u00e7a aquest estiu del 2025 i els primers resultats es coneixeran a l\u2019octubre.
