NEURO-COOP: Cross-border Cooperation in Neurodegenerative Diseases Research

The general objectives of the project are:
– Establish the determinants of the clinical diversity of prion diseases (from a single health approach) and other neurodegenerative diseases caused by malfunctioning proteins.
– To advance in the development of early diagnostic approaches and markers for the evolution of prion and prion-like diseases.
– To create a cross-border network between specialist doctors, research institutions and patient associations involved in research on these diseases.
The EFA031/01 NEURO-COOP project has been co-financed 65% by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-France-Andorra Programme (POCTEFA 2021-2027). The aim of POCTEFA is to strengthen the economic and social integration of the Spain-France-Andorra border area. Total budget: 1,824,070.45 euros. ERDF subsidy: 1,185,645.78 euros.
