This subproject has as central axis on the impact of the salinity increase as a result of Climate Change in the yield of rice cultivation and aims to:
  1. The modeling of this impact on the productivity of this crop.
  2. The analysis of the relationship between water management, the emission of greenhouse gases and the productivity of the crop in the particular ecosystem of the Ebre Delta.
  3. To propose a new system of rice cultivation in the Ebre Delta, based on the reduction of water inputs and the use of new salt-tolerant plant material, which allows mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
