This project aims to broaden knowledge about the role of the nasal microbiota of piglets. It will also explore the possibility of replacing antibiotic treatments using nasal colonization with beneficial bacteria in the microbiota. As for the case of the Glässer’s disease , nasal colonization could be supplemented by vaccination directed towards the specific removal of virulent strains of H. parasuis, the causative agent of this disease.
