AVISEGUR: Biosecurity in poultry farms: enhancing competitiveness and anticipating the law
The overall objective is to improve the competitiveness of broilers farms by improving biosecurity measures that lead to a reduction in the prevalence of Campylobacter on the farm, and an overall improvement in the health status of farms. The specific objectives are:
- Training in the Catalan poultry sector on the new legislation and the relevance in production of Campylobacter, as well as the effective biosecurity measures for its control in broilers farms;
- Demonstration of the effectiveness of biosafety measures in improving productivity and economic performance of farms, through a better conversion rate and a reduction in the use of antibiotics.
