The INNOÀPAT community was approved in 2016 in the first call for RIS3CAT communities and was created with the aim of increasing the level of investment in R&D of Catalan agri-food companies, in order to improve their competitiveness in the market, placing the consumer in the center of this process of innovation. The consumer demands products that contribute to a healthier standard of living, as well as safer and more environmentally friendly products.

IRTA is the coordinator of the RIS3CAT food community INNOÀPAT and the coordination project has been co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with a grant of € 168,675.33 approved by ACCIÓ.

 

 

The coordination project is divided into three work packages consisting in: (a) the management of the community and monitoring of the action plan, (b) communication and external relations and promotion of externalities and (c) technology transfer.

The coordination team acts as the administrative manager of the community, being the contact between ACCIÓ and the participants and supporting companies to keep up-to-date on new trends in the sector. Is for this reason that the coordination team disseminates information about the agri-food sector in social networks or through e-mail and has elaborated a newsletter of financing opportunities that is published every two weeks, among other externalization activities such as organization of conferences, seminars or inspiring forums.
