Dr. Andreas Kamilaris  received the BA degree in Computer Science from University of Cyprus in 2007, the MS degree in Distributed Systems from the ETH University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2009 and the PhD degree at the University of Cyprus in 2013.

As a postdoc researcher, he has worked at the Department of Building, School of Design and Environment of the National University of Singapore, at the University of Cyprus as project manager of the Social Electricity Online Platform (SEOP) European project and as a senior researcher at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics of the National University of Ireland (NUIG Galway).

From September 2016 till now, he has been working at the Institute for Food and Agricultural Research and Technology (IRTA, Torre Marimon) in Barcelona, through the European P-SPHERE project, collaborating with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), performing research on big data analysis and applications in the agri-food sector.

His work is funded by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. His research interests include Internet and Web of Things, Web Technologies, Smart Cities and Agriculture, Big Data Analysis and Wireless Sensor Networking.
